With the opening of the impressive new “floating stage” the city starts it’s summer season!
After the organizers of the annual Weimar Classic Open Air had used a rental stage and floating platforms in the past, they now decided to purchase their own complex stage design. Eurotruss and Adapoe Event- und Studiotechnik GmbH were contracted to develop and deliver the complete stage system.
To create a solid flat ground surface of 590sqm with concrete the lake was completely drained so the Layher underconstruction, supported by 200 steel columns and the Eurotruss Towers could be mounted to the 9 Tripods secured to the foundation.
Behind the stage a bridge is created that connects both sides of the pond so the audience is able to stroll over it and enjoy the beautiful environment Weimar has to offer.
As you can see on the pictures; a very prestigious project for all parties involved. If you are in the surroundings of Weimar, you should definitely take a look!
